Run for God’s 5K Challenge is a 12-week Bible study program that allows runners to combine faith and endurance training in a way that helps take people, even those who have never run, through their first 5K. Run for God is designed for all levels of runners, even those who have never run. Learn to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while understanding the parallels in enduring a sport like running and enduring your faith. Walkers are welcome!
COLLEGE STUDENT BIBLE STUDY
Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., June 6—June 27
Huebner home: 1208 W. 15th • Facilitated by Jason Huebner
At the end of the day, God is less concerned with what we do for Him than who we are in Him. Few figures illustrate that truth better than Jonah. Over the course of 8 verse-by-verse sessions, pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah’s story is our own. Far more than a thrilling Sunday school adventure, it offers a profound glimpse into the conflict that occurs when God calls resistant believers to His mission. More importantly, it underscores the depths of His compassion not only in redeeming the lost, but redeeming those He has called to participate in His reconciling work.
Tuesday and Thursday Mornings, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.,
Mini review session: May 8 – 31
Summer session begins June 12 • West Building

Saturday, June 23 • Ottawa, KS and Pomona, KS
8:00 - 4:30 p.m. (plus travel time)
TABC will be joining Flint Hills Baptist Association in a one-day mission trip called “Serve Day.” This year North Baptist Church in Ottawa, KS will be hosting Serve Day. This is an opportunity for us to join other churches from across our state to help bless this church and their ministry to Ottawa and new outreach to Pomona.
We will be sharing the love of Christ to the people of Ottawa and Pomona by providing construction, yard work, prayer and evangelism teams, block party activities for youth and children, food ministry and other service projects. We will have something for everyone to do, with childcare provided!
The cost for this one-day trip is $15 per person, and will include food, supplies and a t-shirt. This is a great opportunity for families to serve together! To register, contact Lisa Huebner at email@example.com.
PRAYER FOR POMONA—We will take a group to prayer walk in Pomona on Thursday, June 14, leaving Emporia at 5:00 p.m. and returning at 8:30. This will be a time of prayer “on-site” as we ask God to move in that community and use Serve Day to touch the hearts of those in Pomona. Dinner will be provided. This is a great way to be involved if you can’t attend the event on 6/23. Contact Lisa at
firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or to register.
