TABC Deacon Board
Bill Henry has attended TABC since 1999 and has served on our deacon rotation for many years, serving the current term since 2023. Bill also leads a small group, serves on the Personnel Committee, and is currently serving as an interim administrator. Bill served for many years as the middle school boys’ Sunday school teacher and a youth volunteer. (please fill in what I’m missing). Bill owned Professional Printing of Kansas for 20 years and retired in 2023. Bill’s favorite thing about TABC is our caring and loving church family. In his free time, Bill enjoys cooking and travel. Bill and his wife Sara have been married for 39 years and have three grown sons.
Kevin James has been serving on the deacon rotation since 20XX. He has been worshiping at Twelfth Avenue since 20XX and his favorite thing about our church is_____________. Kevin has also served as…. John Schaefer has attended TABC since 2009. He has been serving on the deacon rotation since 2015. John and his wife Carol have also served our congregation as small group leaders and marriage mentors for many years. John’s favorite thing about TABC is the great people that attend and how many are involved in our community. John owns Schaefer Plumbing and enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends in his free time. John and Carol have been married for 48 years and have two grown daughters and six grandchildren.
Scott Waters has attended TABC since 1984 and has served on the deacon rotation since the early 1990’s. Scott also serves as a small group leader, ESU football team chaplain, and disciples many college men. His wife Kathy has also been active in our Missions Committee and disciplining young women. Scott was a professor of Elementary Education at Emporia State for 36 years. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading, bird feeding and time with their grandchildren. Scott’s favorite thing about TABC is the Bible teaching and rich friendships. He and Kathy have been married for 48 years. They have five grown children and eight grandchildren.
Tyson Prouse, chair. Tyson has been at TABC since 2005. He has been serving on the deacon rotation since 2018 and is the current chairman of the deacon board. Tyson served for many years as a 5th & 6th grade boys Sunday school teacher and leading life groups. Tyson’s favorite thing about Twelfth Avenue is the community. Tyson enjoys bird hunting, bee keeping, and spending time with his family. Tyson is a psychologist and owns Brave Counseling and Consultation. He has been married to Emily for 22 years and they have three daughters.
Don Eusey has attended TABC since 1981 and has served multiple terms as a deacon. He currently serves on the Finance Committee and has also been a life group leader and a member of the Missions Committee. Don is actively involved in discipling several men. His life has been deeply impacted by the biblical teaching and the meaningful relationships he has formed at TABC.
Don has been a real estate broker, a college instructor and currently works part-time as a consultant for Sela Group, an international insurance agency owned by his son-in-law, Tamir. In his free time, he enjoys grilling, smoking meats, and baking bread. Don and his wife, Lucie, have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
